Terms of Service

1. The service

navdeck provides software for boat owners (myboat), marinas and boatyards (Marina) and fleets and charter operators (Fleet), including monitoring, operations, bookings, invoicing and related features. We work hard to keep the service available and improving, but it is provided on a best-efforts basis and may change over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. Organisation administrators are responsible for the members they invite and the roles they grant.

3. Subscriptions, billing & payments

4. Your data and content

You (or your organisation) own the data and content you put into navdeck. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process and display it in order to operate the service for you. You can export your data at any time, on any plan, and downgrading never deletes it. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use navdeck to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, or send spam. Don't share data about boats or people you have no right to share. We may suspend accounts that put the platform or other users at risk.

6. Safety notice — not a navigation or safety system

navdeck is a monitoring and operations tool, not a certified navigation, distress or safety-of-life system. Alarms, anchor watch, position, weather and AIS features depend on third-party data, connectivity and hardware and may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. Never rely on navdeck as your sole means of navigation or for life-safety decisions. Always maintain proper watch and approved safety equipment.

7. Third-party services

The platform interoperates with third parties such as SignalK, Stripe and mapping/weather providers. Your use of those is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Intellectual property

The navdeck software, branding and website are owned by us and our licensors. These terms don't transfer any of our intellectual property to you beyond the right to use the service.

9. Warranties & liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where required by law. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

13. Contact
